AIRCON GAS TOP-UP

AIRCON GAS TOP-UP

Aircon Gas Top-Up in Singapore

In Singapore's hot and humid climate, air conditioners work hard to keep indoor spaces comfortable. Over time, the refrigerant gas in your aircon may deplete, leading to reduced cooling efficiency. Our gas top-up service ensures your aircon operates at optimal performance.

Why Is Aircon Gas Top-Up Necessary?

Refrigerant gas is essential for your aircon to cool effectively. Low gas levels can result in:

  • Longer time to cool the room

  • Increased electricity consumption

  • Potential damage to the compressor

  • Reduced overall lifespan of the unit

Regular maintenance and timely gas top-ups help prevent these issues.

Types of Refrigerant Gases We Handle
We provide gas top-up services for the following refrigerants:

R22 (Older Units – Mostly Phased Out)

  • Common in: Aircon units installed before 2010

  • Status: Discontinued in modern units

  • Environmental Impact: High ozone depletion potential

  • Servicing Impact: Limited availability; higher servicing cost

R410A (Units Installed Between 2010–2023)

  • Common in: Aircon units installed between 2010 and 2023

  • Status: Phased out in new units since 2023

  • Environmental Impact: No ozone harm but higher global warming potential

  • Servicing Impact: Servicing possible; costs may increase over time

R32 (Most Modern Units, from 2018 Onwards)

  • Common in: Most modern air conditioners

  • Status: Main refrigerant choice in Singapore

  • Environmental Impact: Lower global warming potential

  • Servicing Impact: Readily available; lower servicing and refill costs

How to Know If Your Aircon Needs a Gas Top-Up

Signs that your aircon may require a gas top-up include:

  • Insufficient cooling

  • Longer time to cool the room

  • Ice forming on the evaporator coils

  • Hissing or bubbling noises indicating a gas leak

If you notice any of these signs, it's advisable to contact a professional technician for an assessment.

Our Gas Top-Up Process

Our experienced technicians follow a thorough process:

  • Inspection: Check the current gas level and identify any leaks.

  • Leak Repair: If leaks are found, we repair them to prevent future gas loss.

  • Vacuuming: Remove any air and moisture from the system.

  • Gas Refill: Top up the refrigerant to the manufacturer's recommended level.

  • Testing: Ensure the aircon is operating efficiently after the top-up.
