When to top up gas?

When to Top Up Aircon Gas?
Your aircon needs refrigerant gas to cool properly. In Singapore, gas top-up is one of the most common servicing needs, especially for older units.
Signs You Need a Gas Top-Up
You should top up the gas when you notice any of these:
-
Air is not cold
-
Cooling is very slow
-
Warm air is blowing out
-
Ice is forming on the indoor unit
-
Hissing or bubbling noise from the system
-
Compressor keeps turning on and off
These signs often mean your refrigerant level is low, or there’s a gas leak.
How Often Do You Need It?
There is no fixed schedule for gas top-up. A properly sealed system doesn't need topping up. But if your unit has a small leak, you may need to refill every 6 to 12 months.
That’s why we check gas pressure during every servicing. It helps catch problems early.
Types of Aircon Gas We Use
At Sky Blue Aircon Engineering PTE. LTD., we top up:

We carry all three and use the correct one for your system.
